In this dialog box, you can initialize each storage and partition.
Rebooting a device enables initialization, and opening this dialog box anew updates the partition information.
With initialization, all on-volume data is erased. Usually, this operation is be done only at the start of use of storage devices on printers or only as the need to change their basic configurations arises.
In this dialog box, every volume of the device selected in the device selection area is displayed and can be initialized.
The desired use of each volume on a Hard Disk/SD Memory Card can be changed by clicking in Partition Uses. Use changes and initialization close the dialogue box. Opening this dialogue again refreshes partition data.
After initialization, new data does not affect the resources window associated with its corresponding printer. Open that resource window again.
Selecting a volume on flash memory displays an edit box provided to change POSTSCRIPT partition settings. Depending on the currently selected device, specifying partition sizes in percentage units and clicking the Initialize overall flash memory button will update the settings.
The selection of a volume on a Hard Disk/SD Memory Card allows you to change partition sizes depending upon the currently selected printer. When the sizes are specified on a percentage basis, the total percentages of the sizes must be 100%. Settings take effect by clicking Initialize Entire HDD/SD button.
